Washington: The United States’ military campaign against Iran has reportedly cost an estimated $10.35 billion in just 10 days averaging over $1 billion per day, according to Anadolu.
Operational expenses alone are estimated at $7.8 billion calculated from flight hours, maintenance, and munitions usage based on the US Department of Defence 2025 and 2026 budgets. The first 24 hours of the operation reportedly cost $779 million, with the first 100 hours reaching $3.3 billion, later scaled to $8 billion for 10 days.
Asset losses caused by Iranian strikes are estimated at $2.55 billion, including the destruction of a $1.1 billion AN/FPS 132 early warning radar in Qatar three F 15E fighter jets multiple MQ 9 Reaper drones, and missile defense components such as AN/TPY 2 radars in the UAE and Jordan.
Pentagon officials estimate that munitions replenishment will cost an additional $3.1 billion, while naval operations with aircraft carriers and escort ships cost about $15 million per day.
Combining operational costs and asset losses the campaign has become one of the most expensive US military engagements in recent years highlighting the financial burden of escalating conflicts in the Middle East.
