CCTV footage reportedly shows actress pushing and slapping domestic worker as complaint is said to have been filed
LAHORE: Pakistani actress Meera has come under scrutiny after CCTV footage allegedly showing her pushing and slapping a domestic worker at the entrance of her residence in Lahore surfaced online.
According to multiple media reports published on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, the incident allegedly took place in DHA Phase 5, Lahore. The footage circulating on social media reportedly shows a woman identified as Meera involved in a heated exchange with a domestic worker before allegedly pushing and slapping her.
Reports further state that the domestic worker approached the relevant police station and submitted a complaint over the alleged physical assault. The complaint reportedly forms part of the material being cited in connection with the CCTV footage.
Some reports have also carried claims from the domestic worker regarding the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident, including a dispute over pending wages. However, these claims have not been independently verified, and the complete circumstances leading to the confrontation remain unclear.
The emergence of the CCTV footage has triggered widespread discussion on social media, with the incident attracting significant attention because of Meera’s prominent position in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
As of the latest available reports, no verified public statement from Meera responding to the allegations has been reported. Police have also not publicly confirmed an FIR, arrest or any formal legal action against the actress.
The allegations therefore remain unproven. Any legal responsibility would depend on the findings of the relevant authorities, including examination of the CCTV footage, statements from those involved and other available evidence.
