Two Terrorists Dead in Killi Zaik Operation as Forces Recover IED-Making Materials

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Security forces recover ammunition, hand grenades and suspected IED-making materials during targeted operation in Killi Zaik

Security forces killed two terrorists and wounded three others during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Killi Zaik area, security sources said Monday, as authorities continue intensified efforts to disrupt militant networks across the province.

The operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of suspected terrorists in the area. Security personnel moved against the reported hideout and carried out a targeted operation, according to security sources.

Two terrorists were killed during the action, while three others were injured. Security forces also recovered ammunition, hand grenades and materials believed to have been intended for the preparation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The latest operation is part of a broader security campaign in Balochistan, where militant activity has remained a major security challenge. In recent days, security forces have conducted intelligence-based operations in several districts, reporting significant militant casualties.

On Sunday, seven terrorists were killed during an operation in the Lajay area of Kharan. A day earlier, 10 terrorists were reported killed and several others injured during an operation in the Shor Pard area of Khuzdar district.

Security forces have also conducted operations in Surab and Panjgur. In Surab, 18 terrorists were reported killed, including eight who died after an explosive device detonated prematurely, according to security officials. In Panjgur, five terrorists, including a key militant commander, were killed in operations in the Sarkini and Chedgi areas.

The intensified operations come amid a sharp deterioration in Balochistan’s security situation. A recent assessment by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies found that deaths linked to violence in the province rose from 109 in June to 372 in July. Security personnel deaths increased from six to 62, while reported terrorist deaths climbed from 75 to 238. Civilian fatalities also increased from 28 to 54.
