A high-level Chinese parliamentary delegation led by Cai Dafeng arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday to participate in commemorative events marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, alongside MNA and Convener of the Pakistan-China Parliamentary Friendship Group Romina Khurshid Alam, reflecting the strong institutional coordination between the two sides.
The visit is part of a two-day official program centered on celebrating decades of diplomatic partnership, which has evolved into one of the region’s most strategically significant bilateral relationships.
The Chinese delegation represents National People’s Congress of China, underscoring the importance Beijing places on parliamentary diplomacy as a complement to its broader state-level engagement with Pakistan.
During the visit, both sides are expected to take part in commemorative activities and high-level interactions highlighting political trust, economic cooperation, and shared regional interests.
The 75th anniversary milestone is being viewed as a reaffirmation of long-standing ties between Islamabad and Beijing, with continued emphasis on strengthening legislative, economic, and people-to-people linkages.
