ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a nationwide weather alert, warning of severe atmospheric conditions set to hit multiple regions starting May 2, raising concerns about potential disruptions and damage.
According to the advisory, a strong westerly wave is forecast to enter the northwestern parts of the country by Friday evening, bringing with it widespread dust-thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and strong winds. The system is expected to persist in the upper regions until the morning of May 5, intensifying weather activity across large swathes of the country.
