Government Rejects PTI Claims, Atta Tarar Says Court Orders on Medical Care Were Fully Implemented

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Information Minister Atta Tarar says the administration complied fully with court directions regarding medical care and rejects PTI allegations as propaganda.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar said the administration fully complied with court orders regarding the medical examination and treatment of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan.

Tarar said PTI was spreading what he described as false propaganda over the matter. He reiterated that the government’s position on keeping politics out of health-related issues had not changed.

“When we were in opposition, our position was that health matters should not be politicized,” Tarar said, adding that the government had never adopted a derogatory attitude toward anyone’s health.

He said statements made by the PTI founder about the health of others were well known and alleged that during his government, the former prime minister used sarcastic and insulting remarks against others.

Tarar said the government had raised questions in its review petition regarding equal facilities for all prisoners.

He added that the PTI founder’s medical examination was conducted in accordance with the court’s order and maintained that the administration had fully followed the directions issued by the court.

Tarar said Imran Khan’s sister was present during his medical examination and maintained that the government had not issued any political statement regarding the former prime minister’s health.

“We presented the facts before the nation moment by moment,” Tarar said, adding that all matters were handled transparently in accordance with the court’s directions.

He questioned who had gathered groups of people outside Shifa Hospital and who held a press conference despite the court’s orders.

The minister said the court had clearly directed that the matter should not be politicized. He alleged that PTI, Imran Khan’s sister and the party had violated those directions.

Tarar also said PTI had contradicted its own assurance by refusing to comply with the court’s order.

He said the Punjab and Pakistan bar councils had distanced themselves from PTI’s political propaganda and warned that their names should not be used for political purposes. The councils, he added, had clarified that individual statements by their members did not represent the councils.

Tarar said Imran Khan’s treatment had never been stopped and urged that his health should not be made a political issue.
