WASHINGTON: (Click Pakistan) U.S. President Donald Trump alleged that Iran is looking to have negotiations with the Washington after it has sent a large naval force of the U.S to Middle East and he said this is where they are going to exert pressure back on Tehran.
Trump, in an interview, indicated that the Iran crisis is yet to be resolved following the deployment of a large military force in the area by the United States. He claimed that the naval force currently located off Iran is bigger than the one deployed in Venezuela previously, implying the preparedness of Washington to act in case of any threat.
Trump refused to comment on certain military or diplomatic proposals of his national security but noted that diplomacy is still an option. He alleged that Iran has already approached the U.S. several times and now they are interested in a deal following the recent military action of the U.S. in the Middle East.
An unnamed senior U.S. official who was addressing reporters assured them that the White House was free to negotiate with Iran. The official indicated that Washington is ready to initiate discussions in case Tehran contacts and wants to accept the terms that were mentioned before.
The official has claimed that the United States has made its terms known to Iran many times throughout the last year. The new diplomatic signs are suggested in the atmosphere of aroused tension on the region and the ongoing international interest in the Iranian activities and U.S. Middle Eastern policy.
