ISPR says security forces killed 17 Indian-sponsored terrorists in intelligence-based operations in Kachhi and Kharan on Nov. 1, foiling an attempted blockade in Kachhi.
QUETTA: Security forces killed 17 Indian-sponsored terrorists in two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Kharan districts on Nov. 1, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the military’s media wing, the operations were launched following information about the presence of Indian-sponsored terrorists in the two districts.
During the operation in the Sanni area of Kachhi, security forces foiled an attempt by the terrorists to establish a blockade in the city, preventing them from carrying out their reported plan.
The ISPR said security forces responded promptly and killed 10 terrorists during the operation. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the site.
In a separate operation in Kharan district, security forces carried out an effective action against a terrorist hideout and destroyed the facility, the military’s media wing said.
The ISPR confirmed that a total of 17 terrorists were killed in the two operations conducted on Nov. 1.
The statement described the individuals killed as Indian-sponsored terrorists. It did not provide further details about their identities or the remaining casualties in the Kharan operation.
