American singer Miley Cyrus has offered heartfelt support to Cash Jacobs, a fan battling stage 3 breast cancer, by helping her navigate the emotional challenges of chemotherapy-related hair loss and fulfilling her wish for a personal meeting.
The emotional encounter followed Cyrus’ performances at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Oct. 16 and 18. Jacobs, who had shared her wish on social media a day before the first show, hoped to meet the singer and have her shave her head as she underwent cancer treatment.
Jacobs explained that her hair was falling out rapidly because of chemotherapy and feared that little would remain by the time she met her idol.
Before attending the first concert, she admitted feeling self-conscious about her changing appearance. She planned to wear a wig but said she would remove it if Cyrus called her name, hoping the singer would recognize her in the crowd.
Although Jacobs’ wish was not fulfilled during the first performance, Cyrus’ team invited her to return for the second show, giving her another opportunity to meet the singer.
The invitation eventually led to a personal encounter in which Cyrus supported Jacobs during an emotionally difficult moment associated with her cancer treatment and hair loss.
