Pakistan Launches Precision Border Strikes After Deadly Attacks, 26 Militants Reportedly Killed

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Security sources say intelligence-based precision strikes targeted militant infrastructure along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border following a series of recent terrorist attacks, with 26 suspected militants reported killed.

Pakistan conducted precision and calibrated strikes along its border with Afghanistan on Wednesday, targeting what security officials described as militant hideouts and safe havens linked to the group referred to as “Fitna al Khwarij.” The operation came in response to a string of recent terrorist incidents that have heightened security concerns across the country.

According to security sources, the strikes were based on credible intelligence and focused on facilities allegedly used by militants involved in planning and facilitating attacks against Pakistani security forces and civilians. Officials said the operation was designed to selectively target high-value locations while minimizing the risk of collateral damage.

Sources claimed that at least four major targets were destroyed during the operation, including a training center, a militant hideout, an ammunition storage facility, and operational centers allegedly connected to commanders identified as Aleem Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Jani Khel. Authorities reported that 26 suspected militants were killed in the strikes.

The action follows several recent attacks, including an assault on a Federal Constabulary post in Musa Darra on June 9, 2026, a vehicle-borne suicide attack on a military post in North Waziristan on June 2, 2026, and an attack on a police station in Bannu on May 9, 2026.

Officials stated that the operation is part of Pakistan’s broader counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. Security authorities reiterated their commitment to regional stability while emphasizing that eliminating militant threats and protecting citizens remain top national priorities.

They added that operations against what they described as foreign-backed terrorism would continue as security forces intensify efforts to counter militancy and strengthen border security.
