National Highways and Motorway Police Inspector Naveed Ahmed Qazi earned appreciation during Hajj mission duty in Saudi Arabia after safely returning a lost handbag containing cash and important documents to its rightful owner.
A Pakistani police officer serving during the Hajj mission in Saudi Arabia has been widely praised after demonstrating exceptional honesty and professionalism by returning a lost handbag containing cash and sensitive documents to its rightful owner.
According to an official press release issued by the Government of Pakistan’s National Highways and Motorway Police, Inspector Naveed Ahmed Qazi was performing special duties as part of the Pakistan Hajj Mission when he discovered a misplaced handbag at a hotel in Saudi Arabia.
Upon inspection, the bag was found to contain 2,000 Saudi Riyals in cash along with original identification documents and other important papers. Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, the officer immediately coordinated with hotel management and reviewed CCTV footage alongside the duty officer to identify the rightful owner.
After continuous efforts, it was confirmed that the documents belonged to a woman from Karachi. Inspector Naveed Ahmed Qazi then personally located the woman and safely returned the handbag along with the complete cash amount and all documents.
The woman expressed heartfelt gratitude for the officer’s honesty, professionalism and sense of responsibility. She praised the conduct of the Pakistan Hajj Mission and the National Highways and Motorway Police, saying such officers strengthen the confidence of Hajj pilgrims and present a positive image of Pakistan abroad.
Officials stated that the incident reflects the professional values and public service spirit of the National Highways and Motorway Police and further enhances the institution’s reputation for integrity and dedication.
