South Africa Clinch T20I Series After Beating Pakistan in Rain-Shortened Second Match

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Laura Wolvaardt’s unbeaten 40 guides South Africa to DLS win over Pakistan women in Benoni

BENONI, South Africa: South Africa secured the three-match T20 International series against Pakistan after defeating the visitors by six wickets in a rain-affected second game on Friday.

The match, reduced to 14 overs per side due to rain, saw Pakistan post 100 for 9 after being sent in to bat. Aliya Riaz top-scored with 20 runs, while Ayesha Zafar added 13, but the visitors struggled to build momentum against disciplined bowling.

Fast bowler Ayabonga Khaka led South Africa’s attack with three wickets, applying sustained pressure on Pakistan’s batting lineup.

In reply, South Africa chased down the revised target comfortably under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method. Captain Laura Wolvaardt anchored the innings with an unbeaten 40, steering her side to 104 for 4 in 13.2 overs to seal the victory.

With the win, the hosts took an unassailable lead in the series. The third and final T20I is scheduled to be played on February 16 in Kimberley.
