Trump was asked whether he would raise the issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping during their expected meeting later this month. Rather than directly confirming whether the matter would be discussed, Trump compared China’s surveillance activities with those carried out by the United States.
The reported incident comes as Washington and Beijing continue to manage strategic competition while maintaining diplomatic communication. Any confirmed involvement by Chinese entities in providing military-related satellite imagery to Iran could add further complications to the relationship.
