A new survey conducted by University of Massachusetts Amherst indicates a sharp decline in public support for Donald Trump particularly regarding his actions against Iran. According to the findings only 33 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with Trump’s overall performance, while a significant 62 percent reported dissatisfaction.

The survey also revealed limited backing for Trump’s Iran policy with just 29 percent supporting his approach and 63 percent opposing it. This growing disapproval reflects rising concerns among Americans about the potential consequences of escalating tensions with Iran.

In addition to foreign policy issues respondents voiced strong dissatisfaction with key domestic matters. A notable 71 percent rated Trump’s handling of inflation as poor highlighting economic concerns as a major factor influencing public opinion. Similarly issues such as employment immigration and tariff policies received negative feedback from a majority of participants.

The survey further found that 17 percent of voters who supported Trump in the 2024 election now have reservations about their decision suggesting a shift in political sentiment.

Overall the data points to increasing public discontent, posing challenges for Trump’s political standing in the near future.
