Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praises security institutions for flawless coordination during high-level diplomatic engagement in Islamabad
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commended Pakistan’s security and civil institutions for their professionalism, coordination, and vigilance during the recently concluded Islamabad talks, a high-level diplomatic engagement that drew significant national and international attention.
In a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, Naqvi praised the Pakistan Army, Punjab Rangers, Punjab Police, Motorway Police, Federal Constabulary, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Administration, and Islamabad Police for conducting seamless joint operations throughout the event.
He said the integrated response of multiple agencies reflected strong institutional coordination and operational readiness, ensuring a peaceful and tightly controlled environment in the federal capital during a sensitive diplomatic gathering involving foreign delegations and strategic discussions.
Authorities had placed Islamabad’s Red Zone under strict security lockdown, deploying thousands of personnel across key routes, diplomatic enclaves, and key government installations. The enhanced security plan was designed to manage movement restrictions, safeguard visiting delegations, and prevent any operational lapses amid heightened threat perceptions.
Officials said the scale of the operation required advanced inter-agency synchronization, as Islamabad simultaneously hosted international guests while maintaining routine administrative functions.
Naqvi said the smooth conduct of the talks highlighted institutional maturity and strengthened public confidence in Pakistan’s security apparatus. He added that improved civil and military coordination continues to enhance the country’s capacity to manage complex and high-profile national security events with efficiency and discipline.
Authorities view the operation as a model for future large-scale diplomatic security arrangements in the capital.
