A high-profile seminar and poetry session at Islamabad Public Library blended strategic discourse with literary brilliance, drawing senior officials, poets, and scholars under one roof.
A significant intellectual and literary gathering was held at the Islamabad Public Library under the auspices of the Department of Libraries, Islamabad, where the seminar titled “Ma’raka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyān al-Marsoos” became the center of attention for scholars, poets, and civil society members.
The event opened with formal remarks by Director General Department of Libraries, Muhammad Arshad, who welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of academic and cultural engagement in shaping informed national discourse.
A key highlight of the first session was a thought-provoking address by retired Pakistan Air Force Junior Commissioned Officer Ghulam Abbas, who spoke on “Operation Bunyān al-Marsoos,” offering insights that resonated deeply with the audience.
The second segment of the event transformed into a vibrant mushaira, chaired by renowned Urdu poet Khizar Saleem, who also serves as Secretary Attorney General. The poetic session added a strong cultural dimension to the otherwise strategic-themed gathering.
Prominent literary figure Waqas Aziz, Secretary Anjuman Arbab-e-Zauq Rawalpindi, attended the session as a special guest. Known for his poetic contributions and his influential administrative role, he is also recognized for his well-received poetry collection “Kitab-e-Dard-e-Pinhan.”
The mushaira featured a distinguished lineup of poets including Dr. Kashif Irfan, Nasir Abbas Chaudhry, Rukhsana Sahr, Nazar Hussain Naz, Dr. Rabaab Tabassum, Sadaqat Tahir, Shahlan Naseeb, Dr. Faisal Shehzad, Aamir Dhaddi, Ali Niaz, and Qasim Mehr. Their poetic expressions captivated the audience and elevated the cultural atmosphere of the evening.
