Karachi police have intensified their anti-narcotics drive, arresting another high-profile suspect shortly after the detention of Anmol alias “Pinkie,” in what officials describe as a widening crackdown on organized drug networks operating across the city.
Acting on a tip-off, Qaidabad Police conducted a targeted raid in the Khudadad graveyard area of Swati Mohalla, where they apprehended Nargis alias “Malka,” identified by authorities as a highly wanted suspect linked to an extensive drug trafficking network.
During the operation, police recovered 35 kilograms and 265 grams of hashish from the accused, estimated to be worth over 60 million rupees in the local market. Officials also seized cash exceeding 100,000 rupees from her possession.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Abdul Khaliq Pirzada, the arrested suspect was actively involved in supplying narcotics to various upscale areas of Karachi as well as multiple regions in interior Sindh. He added that the network she was part of remained operational and deeply embedded across different localities.
Authorities further revealed that associates linked to Nargis alias Malka are still under investigation, with indications that the syndicate extends across several parts of the city, facilitating both distribution and street-level sales.
SSP Malir confirmed that raids are ongoing to arrest additional members of the group, stressing that the crackdown against drug trafficking networks will be further intensified in the coming days.
