Trump Welcomes Saudi Arabia-Turkey-Pakistan Defence Pact as ‘Big, Bold’ Step

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The U.S. president says the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement shows greater regional cooperation and a stronger ability to defend against threats.

WASHINGTON U.S. President Donald Trump has welcomed a new defence agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, calling it a “big, bold and important first step” toward stronger regional security.

Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform that he was pleased to see the three countries had “finally” signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement. He said the pact demonstrated how countries in the Middle East were coming together and would be better able to defend themselves.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan signed the agreement in Mecca on Aug. 7. The pact establishes a framework for closer defence and military cooperation, including a mutual-defense principle under which an armed attack against one member is to be treated as an attack against all three.

The agreement comes as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East. Turkey has said the arrangement will also promote joint military exercises, defence technology cooperation and coordination among the three countries.

Trump congratulated the leadership of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan and described the agreement as an important development in regional security.
