Nawaz Sharif expressed grief over the death of PML-N leader Hanif Jutt and prayed for the deceased and his bereaved family.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief over the death of Hanif Jutt, describing him as a sincere and loyal colleague of the party.
In a post on X, Sharif offered condolences to the bereaved family and said he was deeply saddened by Jutt’s death.

“Hanif Jutt was a sincere and loyal companion of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz,” Sharif said in his condolence message.
Sharif also extended his sympathies to the deceased’s family during what he described as a difficult time. He prayed that Allah Almighty grant the deceased a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give his family the strength to bear the loss.
Hanif Jutt was a PML-N politician from Chichawatni and had served as a member of the Punjab Assembly. He won the PP-203 Sahiwal-VI seat in the 2025 by-election as a PML-N candidate.
Reports published on Sept. 17, 2026, said Jutt had died after suffering a cardiac arrest. The reports also said funeral prayers were scheduled to be offered at Azadi Chowk Stadium in Chichawatni after Asr prayers.
Sharif’s message added to condolences being expressed following the death of the PML-N lawmaker and local political figure.
