Federal ministers discuss national political climate and law and order, pledge unity against terrorism
ISLAMABAD — Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday met senior leaders of allied political parties in Islamabad to review the country’s overall political and internal security situation, reaffirming collective resolve against terrorism.
The meeting brought together Chaudhry Salik Hussain of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and Khalid Magsi of the Balochistan Awami Party. Participants held detailed deliberations on the prevailing political climate and law and order challenges facing the country.
Naqvi briefed the ministers on the security environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, outlining measures being implemented to strengthen stability and maintain peace in the two provinces. He shared updates on coordinated efforts aimed at improving internal security and countering militant threats.
The leaders praised what they termed the sincere efforts of Asim Munir in promoting national stability. They also reiterated their parties’ full backing of the country’s security forces, pledging to stand united in the fight to eliminate terrorism and safeguard Pakistan’s peace and order.
