Pakistan Conducts Overnight Strikes on Terrorist Hideouts in Afghanistan

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said on Sunday that the Pakistan Armed Forces carried out overnight strikes targeting militant hideouts in Kandahar and the Chitral sector as part of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X (Twitter) Tarar said the operation targeted military installations and facilities allegedly used by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al Khawarij. He stated that technical infrastructure and equipment storage sites in Kandahar were destroyed during the strikes.

According to the minister, Pakistani forces also destroyed a tunnel that housed technical equipment used by militants. In the Chitral sector, ground forces reportedly targeted and destroyed a militant jump off point known as the Badini Post located across the border.

Tarar claimed the operation resulted in heavy militant losses with 684 fighters killed and more than 912 injured. He also said that 252 militant posts were destroyed while 44 others were captured and demolished by Pakistani forces.

Additionally, the operation reportedly destroyed 229 tanks armored vehicles, and artillery guns while 73 militant facilities were targeted mainly through air strikes.

Tarar said the strikes were precise and did not target civilian populations or infrastructure, rejecting claims made by officials of Afghanistan.
