Afghan Taliban officials have reportedly relocated to the central province of Bamiyan amid fears of ongoing Pakistani air operations according to Afghan media sources. Reports suggest that several senior figures of the Taliban administration shifted their bases due to concerns over Pakistan’s expanding aerial campaign.
Afghan media, citing informed sources, claimed that five helicopters transported Taliban officials to Bamiyan where the aircraft remain stationed at Bamiyan Airport. The reported relocation comes as Pakistan continues its military campaign Operation Ghazab ul Haq targeting militant elements across the border.
Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that retaliatory strikes have resulted in the deaths of 435 Taliban fighters with more than 630 injured. He further claimed that Pakistani forces destroyed 118 Taliban check posts and seized control of 31 others. Additionally 188 tanks armored vehicles, and artillery units were reportedly destroyed.
According to official figures Pakistan has so far targeted 51 locations in Afghanistan through air operations. The developments highlight escalating tensions between the two sides as cross border security concerns continue to strain relations and fuel regional instability.
