Peshawar police say CCTV footage helped trace two suspected individuals involved in the killing of NADRA Deputy Director Fahad Khan in Hayatabad.
PESHAWAR: Police have made significant progress in the investigation into the killing of NADRA Deputy Director Fahad Khan, the nephew of MNA Noor Alam Khan, in Peshawar’s Hayatabad area, claiming to have traced two suspected individuals through CCTV footage.
According to police sources, investigators have obtained footage showing the alleged suspects’ movements in connection with the incident. Police have also collected relevant data and records from various sources as part of the ongoing investigation.
The killing took place in Hayatabad, an upscale residential area of Peshawar, and prompted an immediate response from senior police officials. Sources said the head of Peshawar police took notice of the incident and directed the relevant officers to expedite efforts to identify and arrest those responsible.
Investigators reportedly tracked the movements of two suspected individuals with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the area. Police sources further said that records relating to the suspected individuals, including their previous criminal history, had also been collected.
The investigation is being conducted following the registration of a first information report (FIR). According to police sources, information gathered about the suspected individuals and other possible suspects will be examined to determine the next steps in the legal proceedings.
Police are continuing to examine the available evidence and information to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
Authorities are also taking additional steps to arrest the suspected individuals. However, their identities have not been officially disclosed, and no arrests have been confirmed in the information provided by police sources.
