Iran has rejected claims by Donald Trump regarding ongoing negotiations with the United States, stating that no talks are taking place between Tehran and Washington.
According to Iranian media, the Foreign Ministry said Trump’s statements are aimed at lowering global energy prices and buying time to advance military plans. The ministry emphasized that Iran is not engaged in any form of dialogue with the US.
The statement added that while some regional countries are making efforts to reduce tensions and have proposed initiatives, such efforts should be directed toward Washington. Iran maintained that it is not the party that initiated the conflict.
A senior Iranian security official also dismissed Trump’s claims, calling them part of psychological warfare. The official stated that Iran’s threat of retaliation forced the US to delay potential military strikes.
Earlier, Trump claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that talks with Iran were “positive and constructive” and announced a temporary halt to attacks on Iranian energy facilities, which led to a drop in global oil prices.
