Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s official visit focuses on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, energy, security, and regional connectivity.
A major diplomatic engagement began as Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Rawalpindi with a high-level delegation for an official visit to Pakistan. The Iranian leader reached Noor Khan Airbase following an invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The delegation accompanying President Pezeshkian includes senior ministers and government officials. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari, while important delegation-level talks will be held with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The official schedule also includes meetings with Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
This marks President Pezeshkian’s second visit to Pakistan since taking office as Iran’s president. Leaders from both countries are expected to review bilateral relations and explore new opportunities to expand cooperation.
The discussions are likely to cover trade, energy partnerships, border security, people-to-people connections, and regional connectivity. The visit comes at a time when both nations are seeking to further strengthen economic and diplomatic ties.
