Karachi Drug Case Takes New Turn as Court Grants Custodial Custody

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Karachi witnessed a significant development in an ongoing narcotics investigation after a court granted a three-day physical remand of a female suspect known as Anmol alias Pinky, marking a reversal of its earlier decision in the same case.

According to DIG South Asad Raza, the accused was produced once again before a Judicial Magistrate in South Karachi after an earlier request for physical remand had been rejected by the court.

Authorities stated that investigators re-submitted their request during the fresh hearing, arguing the need for further interrogation to advance the probe into the alleged drug-related network.

Following the renewed plea, the court accepted the police request and approved a three-day physical remand, allowing investigators to take custody of the suspect for further questioning.

Police officials confirmed that immediately after the court’s order, the suspect was taken into custody and moved from the courtroom for further legal proceedings.

The case has drawn attention due to the procedural back-and-forth in court decisions, highlighting the investigative challenges faced by law enforcement in narcotics-related cases in Karachi.

Authorities are expected to continue interrogations during the remand period to gather additional evidence and potentially identify wider links connected to the case.
