SARGODHA: Thousands of members of the Shiite community and civil society took to the streets of Sargodha to protest the reported assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, علی خامنہ ای.
Protesters chanted slogans expressing deep grief and anger over the alleged killing, calling on the international community to take immediate notice. Demonstrators also voiced solidarity with Iran, holding banners and flags in support of the nation’s leadership.
The protest caused significant traffic disruptions on major city roads, including Khushab Road and Hussain Chowk, prompting authorities to implement strict security measures. Police were deployed to maintain order and ensure the safety of participants.
Speakers at the event urged global organizations and the United Nations to investigate the incident and respond promptly. They warned that ignoring such developments could destabilize regional peace and security.
“The international community must act decisively. We demand transparent investigations and accountability,” one of the organizers told the crowd.
The rally, which continued peacefully, highlighted the local community’s commitment to expressing collective grief while maintaining public order. Protesters emphasized that their demonstration aimed to raise awareness globally, not to incite violence.
