Naqvi visited the airport and inspected immigration counters, where he spoke with officials and passengers to assess the time required to complete immigration formalities. Several travellers told the minister that they were taking around 30 minutes to clear immigration and called for better arrangements.

Taking immediate notice of the complaints, Naqvi directed airport authorities to keep all immigration counters operational to reduce queues and minimize passenger waiting times. He said the additional operational counters would help make the immigration process faster and more convenient for travellers.

During the visit, a passenger also complained that an agent had allegedly demanded money. Naqvi referred the matter to the Federal Investigation Agency director and ordered appropriate action against the agent.

The interior minister also instructed officials not to allow passengers with incomplete travel documents to proceed. However, he stressed that travellers carrying complete and valid documents should not face unnecessary delays or be stopped from boarding their flights.

Naqvi said modern technology had improved the efficiency of immigration procedures but emphasized that strict action would continue against individuals attempting to travel using fake or fraudulent documents.
