PAK vs NZ Match Suspended as Rain Hits Colombo

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Colombo: The much anticipated Super Eight clash between Pakistan and New Zealand in the T20 World Cup was disrupted by rain shortly after the toss at the Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan having won the toss and elected to bat first could not face a single ball before dark clouds and persistent drizzle forced players off the field leaving the match undecided.

Ground staff rushed to cover the pitch while spectators anxiously watched the skies. Weather forecasts had warned of rain and officials are closely monitoring the situation. There is a possibility that the game could be reduced to a five over contest but if the rain continues the match may be abandoned, with both teams sharing one point.

For Pakistan, an abandoned game could impact their campaign for a semifinal spot adding pressure to their Super Eight journey. Fans remain on edge as the match hangs in uncertainty between hope and heavy rain
