Nationwide railway events planned with Rawalpindi central ceremony, special train flag-off, and themed station branding marking ‘Marka-e-Haq’ observance across Pakistan.
Pakistan Railways has launched an extensive nationwide programme to observe May 10 as “Marka-e-Haq,” marking one of its most coordinated commemorations in recent years with events scheduled across all seven divisional headquarters.
The initiative is set to bring together senior leadership, officials, and the public in a series of ceremonies designed to highlight national unity and institutional tribute, with Rawalpindi emerging as the central hub of the observance.
The main ceremony will be held in Rawalpindi, where Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi is expected to deliver a keynote address underscoring the significance of the occasion and its national context. His speech is likely to focus on themes of service, resilience, and institutional pride.
A key highlight of the day will be the flag-off of the Green Line train, specially decorated with “Marka-e-Haq” branding, symbolising the nationwide spirit of the observance as it moves across the rail network.
Beyond Rawalpindi, commemorative events will also take place in major cities including Lahore and Peshawar, where senior officials from Pakistan Railways, including the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will supervise arrangements and participate in ceremonies.
As part of the broader campaign, themed branding will be displayed at around 40 major railway stations across the country, reinforcing the unified message of the observance across Pakistan’s transport infrastructure.
Officials said this year’s programme is being organised with “full enthusiasm,” aiming to honour national leadership and recognise the role of the armed forces. Statements issued by the railway ministry also praised the Prime Minister and senior military leadership, crediting them with strengthening Pakistan’s position on the international stage.
The ministry further noted that the sacrifices and services of the armed forces would be formally acknowledged during the events, framing the observance as both a tribute and a symbolic expression of national solidarity.
As preparations continue across the railway network, the initiative reflects a coordinated effort to transform May 10 into a nationwide day of recognition, visibility, and institutional commemoration.
