July’s record inflows from key global markets provide fresh support to Pakistan’s external sector and economic stability.
Pakistan received $3.63 billion in workers’ remittances in July 2026, marking a strong start to fiscal year 2026-27 and offering fresh support to the country’s external sector.
According to the latest figures, remittances increased by 13% compared with July 2025 and were 5% higher than June 2026. The growth was recorded across most major remittance corridors.
Remittances from the United Kingdom increased by more than 23%, while inflows from the United States rose by over 18%. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates each recorded growth of more than 11%, while remittances from the European Union increased by around 9%.
On a month-on-month basis, nearly all major sources also posted higher inflows, highlighting continued momentum at the beginning of the new fiscal year.
The State Bank of Pakistan has set a $44 billion remittance target for FY27. Pakistan received a record $41.6 billion in workers’ remittances during FY26.
