Pakistan weather is expected to remain hot in major cities, while rain is likely in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan.
Pakistan is expected to experience varied weather conditions on Thursday, with hot and humid weather likely to persist in several plains and major cities while rain is forecast in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Lahore is expected to remain generally clear with no significant chance of rain. The city is likely to record a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22 degrees. Winds are moving at around 2 kilometers per hour, while humidity has been recorded at 81%.
In Karachi, hot and humid conditions are expected to continue. The current temperature has been recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, with the minimum temperature expected to remain around 28 degrees and the maximum between 33 and 35 degrees. Winds are blowing from the southwest at around 11 kilometers per hour, while humidity stands at 71%.
The weather department said Karachi’s air quality is satisfactory, with the concentration of particulate matter in the air recorded below 100.
Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to experience hot and partly cloudy weather, with chances of rain in the twin cities. Residents have been advised to remain cautious in view of possible changes in weather conditions.
Rain is also expected at isolated locations in parts of Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. The rainfall may lead to a drop in temperatures and a change in weather conditions in affected areas.
Most districts of Balochistan are likely to remain hot and dry. However, rain is possible in Zhob, Musa Khel and Barkhan.
The weather department reported significant temperature differences across Balochistan. Maximum temperatures were recorded at 32 degrees Celsius in Quetta, 28 in Kalat, 23 in Ziarat, 32 in Zhob, 39 in Sibi and 42 in Turbat.
Nokundi recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius, while Chaman recorded 33 degrees. The coastal areas of Gwadar and Jiwani recorded maximum temperatures of 32 and 33 degrees, respectively.
The department said regional variations in weather conditions would continue across the country, with heat and humidity likely in the plains while cloud formation and isolated rainfall are expected in some upper and northern areas.
