Fans set to return to stadium as government clears attendance for blockbuster PSL 11 finale
ISLAMABAD: The countdown to the Pakistan Super League Season 11 Final has officially begun, with the Pakistan Cricket Board announcing that tickets for the highly anticipated clash will go on sale starting tomorrow.
According to PCB officials, online ticket booking will open at 4:00 PM, offering cricket fans nationwide their first opportunity to secure seats for the marquee event. Physical tickets will be available from April 28 at designated outlets across major cities.
The development follows a key decision by Shehbaz Sharif, who approved spectator attendance for the final, easing earlier restrictions linked to austerity measures. The move comes as a significant boost for both fans and stakeholders after weeks of uncertainty over whether crowds would be allowed.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the approval was granted after franchise owners urged authorities to permit spectators, highlighting the importance of fan engagement in the league’s success. He described the decision as a “welcome relief” for cricket enthusiasts eager to experience the final live.
The PSL 11 final is scheduled to take place on May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium, one of the country’s most iconic cricket venues, known for hosting major international fixtures.
Ticket prices have been structured to accommodate a wide range of fans. General enclosures are priced at Rs 1,500, while first-class tickets will cost Rs 2,000. Premium seating is set at Rs 4,000, with VIP tickets available for Rs 6,000. Higher-end options include VVIP Far-End tickets at Rs 8,000, VVIP New Pavilion seats at Rs 10,000, and Gallery tickets priced at Rs 12,000.
Officials expect strong demand for the final, as the Pakistan Super League the country’s premier Twenty20 competition continues to draw significant interest with its blend of local stars and international players.
With ticket sales opening and spectators cleared to attend, the stage is now set for a packed stadium and a high-energy finale that could mark one of the most memorable endings in PSL history.
