Syed Asim Munir Reaches Zhob on Eidul Azha, Praises Troops Battling Terror on Pakistan’s Western Borders

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the Zhob district of Balochistan on Eidul Azha, where he spent the religious occasion with troops deployed along Pakistan’s sensitive western frontlines amid ongoing security challenges, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

According to the military’s media wing, the visit began with Eid prayers offered alongside officers and soldiers stationed at forward operational positions. Special prayers were also held for Pakistan’s peace, stability and prosperity, while tributes were paid to martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir exchanged Eid greetings with officers and soldiers serving in operational areas and praised their high morale, professionalism and combat readiness despite increasing security threats in border regions.

The army chief commended the troops for maintaining strong vigilance against terrorism and what the military described as externally backed militant activities. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by security personnel in protecting Pakistan’s territorial integrity and ensuring national security under difficult operational conditions.

Referring to recent terrorist incidents, including the attack in Quetta that the military linked to “Fitna al-Hindustan” and its facilitators, Field Marshal Munir said such acts would not weaken the determination of Pakistan’s armed forces or the nation.

He reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces, backed by the public, remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism in all forms. He added that operations against militants and their facilitators would continue with full force until durable peace and stability are restored across the country.

Earlier during the visit, the army chief arrived in Quetta, where he was received by the Corps Commander, according to ISPR. He also laid a floral wreath at a martyrs’ memorial to honour soldiers who embraced martyrdom while defending the nation.

The visit comes at a time when Pakistan’s western regions, particularly parts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, continue to witness militant attacks targeting security personnel and civilians. The military leadership has repeatedly stressed that counterterrorism operations will continue uninterrupted to neutralise threats and maintain stability in the region.
