Donald Trump has indicated that Pakistan could be the preferred location for upcoming negotiations with Iran, while also praising Asim Munir for his performance.
Speaking to a reporter from New York Post, Trump suggested that developments could occur within days and said the US is more inclined to hold talks in Pakistan. He noted that the choice is likely due to the “excellent work” of Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to the report, Trump initially denied plans for a US delegation to visit Pakistan but later called back to hint at a possible new round of talks in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Iranian officials have also expressed readiness for negotiations, stating that Pakistan would be their preferred venue for a second round of talks.
Reports indicate that US and Iranian delegations may arrive in Islamabad later this week or early next week for renewed peace discussions.
