A report by The New York Times claims that Iran carried out strikes on U.S. military bases across the Middle East in response to attacks by the United States and Israel. The report states that the attacks forced a large number of American troops to relocate from military bases to hotels and office buildings across the region.
According to the report, much of the ground force is now effectively operating remotely, while only pilots and essential aircraft maintenance crews remain stationed at air bases. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has reportedly urged civilians to report the locations of dispersed U.S. troops.
The situation has raised concerns about the preparedness of the Trump administration’s military strategy. Several bases in countries including Kuwait Qatar Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were reportedly damaged in drone and missile strikes affecting infrastructure and personnel.
Iran has also accused the United States of placing troops in civilian areas alleging the use of human shields. The escalating conflict has intensified regional instability and raised fears of further military confrontation.
