Public complaints on water supply, sewerage, and billing addressed during open court session in Rawalpindi.
RAWALPINDI: Water and Sanitation Agency held an open court session on Tuesday at its Commercial Market office, where citizens from various areas of the city presented complaints related to civic services.
Managing Director Azizullah Khan presided over the session and listened to concerns regarding water shortages, blocked sewerage lines, drainage issues, and billing and revenue matters. Residents highlighted persistent service gaps and sought immediate relief.
During the session, the MD directed concerned directors, deputy directors, and assistant directors to resolve all complaints on a priority basis and ensure timely facilitation for applicants. He emphasized that public service remains the top priority and warned that negligence or delays would not be tolerated.
Officials were instructed to establish a proper monitoring mechanism for all received complaints and to keep citizens informed about the progress of their resolution. The initiative aims to enhance transparency and accountability within the department.
Speaking on the occasion, the MD thanked citizens for their participation and said that direct public engagement plays a vital role in improving institutional performance. He added that, in line with the vision of Maryam Nawaz, similar open court sessions will continue to be held regularly across different areas of the city to resolve public issues at their doorstep.
