Information Minister Attaullah Tarar briefs the Wazirabad Press Club delegation on digital communication initiatives and efforts to counter misleading content.
ISLAMABAD: A delegation from the Wazirabad Press Club visited the Digital Communication Department (DCD) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, where Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar briefed the delegation on the department’s functions, scope and operations.
Tarar provided a detailed briefing on the various sections of the Digital Communication Department and outlined the ministry’s initiatives and progress in the field of digital communication.
He said digital platforms were playing an important role in providing timely information to the public and ensuring effective communication.
The information minister said the effective prevention of misleading content, propaganda and negative campaigns was among the priorities of the Digital Communication Department.
He stressed the need for effective use of digital platforms to provide the public with accurate information about government initiatives and matters of national importance.
The delegation was also informed about various measures taken by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the digital communication sector, as well as progress made in implementing those initiatives.
Members of the Wazirabad Press Club delegation appreciated the ministry’s activities and efforts in the field of digital communication.
The visit provided the delegation with an overview of the department’s areas of work and its role in communicating government information through digital platforms.
