Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, U.S. President Donald Trump has postponed his planned visit to China citing the ongoing conflict involving Iran. Speaking to the media at the White House Trump stated that he prefers to remain in Washington during the crisis, emphasizing the need to closely monitor developments.
The President confirmed that his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping would be rescheduled, adding that Beijing has not objected to the change. According to reports, the visit was initially scheduled from March 31 to April 2.
In a statement posted on Truth Social Trump also raised questions about future U.S. policy in the region. He suggested reconsidering America’s role in securing the Strait of Hormuz proposing that countries benefiting from the route should take greater responsibility.
Trump further hinted at a more aggressive stance toward Iran, sparking concerns about potential escalation. His remarks underline growing uncertainty in global politics as the Middle East conflict continues to intensify.
