The alleged mastermind of a nationwide cocaine supply network is at the center of a growing controversy after investigators claimed she hinted at links to influential political and entertainment figures.
Pakistani authorities are tightening the net around an alleged cocaine trafficking network after Lahore Police approached a court seeking the physical remand of a woman known as “Pinky,” who investigators describe as one of the country’s most influential alleged cocaine suppliers.
Pinky is currently in the custody of police in Karachi, where she is being investigated over accusations of supplying cocaine across multiple cities. Officials say Lahore Police now want direct access to question her regarding alleged narcotics-related activities and criminal operations linked to Lahore.
The case has generated intense public attention after reports emerged that, during interrogation, the suspect allegedly referenced several “high-profile clients.” According to investigative sources, those names reportedly include politicians, former prime ministers, and figures connected to Pakistan’s entertainment industry. However, no official list has been released, and authorities have yet to publicly verify those claims.
Security concerns have also escalated surrounding Pinky’s expected transfer from Karachi to Lahore. Sources familiar with the investigation warned that influential criminal elements could attempt to attack the convoy or silence the suspect permanently before further disclosures are made.
Law enforcement agencies have not officially commented on the alleged threats, but the case is already being described as one of Pakistan’s most sensitive narcotics investigations in recent years. Analysts believe any confirmed links between drug trafficking networks and influential personalities could trigger a wider political and criminal probe nationwide.
