Atta Tarar Says PTI Violated Court Orders by Politicizing Imran Khan’s Health

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar says authorities fully complied with court orders during Imran Khan’s medical examination and rejects political allegations over his health.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said Saturday that the government had consistently maintained that health-related matters should not be politicized, while accusing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of violating court orders by turning former prime minister Imran Khan’s medical treatment into a political issue.

Tarar said the government had never made inappropriate remarks about Imran Khan’s health, despite claiming that Khan had made disparaging comments about the health of others when he was in power.

He said the law minister had already presented the government’s position in detail, including whether such medical facilities were available to every prisoner and whether the Constitution and law provided for such arrangements.

According to Tarar, authorities fully implemented the court’s orders regarding Khan’s medical examination. He said the examination was conducted transparently in the presence of Khan’s sister and doctors from Shifa International Hospital.

“The requirements of the court’s orders were fully met,” Tarar said, adding that Khan was later taken to PIMS Hospital after a gathering outside Shifa Hospital created a security risk.

He questioned who had gathered people outside Shifa Hospital, saying the court had clearly directed that the matter should not be politicized.

Tarar accused PTI leaders, Khan’s sister and party workers of violating the court’s instructions through repeated public statements and political activity surrounding the former premier’s health.

“If they were genuinely sincere with their founder and wanted him to receive treatment, why were obstacles created along the way?” Tarar asked, saying the issue of who violated the court orders was now before the public.

The minister also said the Pakistan and Punjab bar councils had announced their disassociation from PTI’s political agenda.

Tarar maintained that Khan’s medical examination at PIMS was conducted in the presence of Shifa International Hospital doctors and that the authorities had followed the court’s directions in full.

He said initial medical reports indicated that Khan’s health was satisfactory and that he was in good spirits.

Tarar urged PTI not to politicize the former prime minister’s health, saying the government had fulfilled its responsibilities in accordance with the court’s instructions.
