Thousands of security personnel mobilized from Punjab districts to ensure high-level security in the federal capital
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s federal capital has once again come into sharp focus following reports of an expected visit by former U.S. President Donald Trump, prompting authorities to initiate extensive security arrangements.
Officials confirmed that police personnel from at least 10 districts across Punjab have been called to Islamabad to reinforce security measures. The deployment is scheduled to be completed by Thursday morning, ensuring readiness ahead of the anticipated high-profile visit.
According to sources, approximately 18,000 security personnel, including police and other law enforcement agencies, will be stationed across key areas of the city. The large-scale mobilization reflects the significance of the visit and the need to maintain strict security protocols.
Authorities are expected to implement comprehensive surveillance, route monitoring, and restricted access zones to ensure the safety of both local residents and visiting dignitaries.
While official confirmation of Trump’s visit remains awaited, the scale of preparations indicates that Islamabad is gearing up for a major diplomatic and security event.
