JUI-F Chief Urges Government to Allow Imran Khan Political Space

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Religious party leader also warns of global conflict risks and criticizes policy continuity on madrassas and CPEC

LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has called for the release of former prime minister Imran Khan, saying he should be given an opportunity to play his political role.

Speaking to journalists in Lahore, Fazlur Rehman said that efforts to establish contact with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had not yielded any meaningful results so far.

Commenting on the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, he warned that the situation could escalate into a global conflict if not managed carefully. He stated that Gulf countries must recognize the risks associated with hosting foreign military bases, adding that Pakistan is playing a mediating role to prevent a potential third world war.

Fazlur Rehman said that if the current situation persists, other global powers could also become involved in the conflict, further worsening instability. He emphasized the need for diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.

On regional cooperation, he appreciated the defense agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, calling it a positive development.

The JUI-F leader also criticized policy continuity regarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, stating that the project slowed down during Imran Khan’s tenure and has yet to fully regain momentum.

Addressing domestic issues, he said that policies related to religious seminaries have remained largely unchanged across successive governments, including those led by former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, PTI, and the current administration. He noted that madrassa registration issues persist, and institutions are facing difficulties in opening bank accounts.

Fazlur Rehman concluded by stating that political power is temporary and stressed the need for consistent and improved policymaking to ensure long-term stability.
