PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has intensified his political and administrative engagements in Lahore following the Supreme Court’s recent decision concerning PTI founder Imran Khan, with the former prime minister making consecutive visits to 90 Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam and meeting party leaders and lawmakers.
Nawaz Sharif visited the venue for the second consecutive day, where he received detailed briefings on ongoing development projects across Lahore. The meetings focused on the progress of projects including the Data Darbar Complex, Neela Gumbad and the Nasir Bagh parking plaza.
He directed the relevant authorities and party leaders to accelerate work and ensure that development projects are completed within their targeted timelines.
Nawaz Sharif also visited the Bhatti Chowk Underpass, where he reviewed ongoing construction and received updates on the progress of the underpass and the Data Darbar Complex. He stressed adherence to project targets and timely completion.
His increased public and political engagements in recent days have attracted attention within political circles, particularly amid renewed debate over the country’s political landscape following the Supreme Court’s order concerning Imran Khan.
The Supreme Court has ordered arrangements for Imran Khan’s medical examination and treatment at Shifa International Hospital, along with facilities including meetings with family members. The government has subsequently approached the Supreme Court seeking a review of the decision.
Against this backdrop, Nawaz Sharif’s renewed engagement with party figures, lawmakers and development authorities is being viewed as politically significant. His current activities prominently involve Lahore’s development agenda and party-level consultations.
