Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discusses business facilitation, export growth, investment opportunities and support for overseas Pakistanis with Pak-Japan Group CEO Chaudhry Asif Mahmood.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday met Chaudhry Asif Mahmood, CEO of Pak-Japan Group, to discuss measures aimed at facilitating the business community, increasing Pakistan’s exports and addressing issues faced by overseas Pakistanis.
The meeting, held in Islamabad on Sept. 16, also covered efforts to provide a conducive environment for overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan and measures to effectively resolve their concerns.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the government was taking all possible steps to facilitate the business community, promote investment and increase the country’s exports.
The two sides also discussed ways to further expand trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Japan.
The prime minister emphasized the importance of effective measures to promote Pakistani products in international markets, increase access to new global markets and address difficulties faced by exporters.
He also stressed the need to increase the overall volume of Pakistan’s exports through coordinated and effective measures.
The meeting also focused on matters related to the welfare of overseas Pakistanis and creating greater opportunities for their participation in investment activities in Pakistan.
The government’s efforts to improve the business environment and support exporters were discussed in the context of strengthening economic activity and expanding Pakistan’s international trade links.
Prime Minister’s Adviser Haroon Akhtar was also present during the meeting.
