Pakistan and Saudi Arabia pledge closer coordination to promote regional stability and strengthen long-standing bilateral ties.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss evolving regional developments and reaffirm their commitment to advancing peace and stability.
The meeting, also attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir, focused on strengthening cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh amid changing geopolitical dynamics.
During the talks, Sharif conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to Saudi Arabia’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The prime minister also expressed deep gratitude for the Kingdom’s long-standing support for Pakistan, particularly during challenging economic and political periods.
Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that Islamabad values its strategic partnership with the Kingdom and will continue to stand firmly alongside Riyadh.
Both leaders held detailed discussions on the latest regional developments and agreed to maintain close coordination to promote peace and stability across the region. According to officials, the talks highlighted the shared goal of strengthening diplomatic efforts to address emerging challenges.
The prime minister stressed that Pakistan remains committed to playing a constructive role in achieving lasting regional peace, pledging continued collaboration with Saudi Arabia to advance that objective.
