Political Leaders Demand Immediate Recovery of Kidnapped PPP Official in South Waziristan

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Political leaders warn of decisive action if authorities fail to recover abducted individuals amid worsening law and order conditions.

South Waziristan: Political leaders in Lower South Waziristan have demanded the immediate recovery of abducted Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) district General Secretary Imran Mukhlis and other kidnapped individuals, as concerns over deteriorating security continue to rise.

A key jirga was held in Wana under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Musarrat Zaman and District Police Officer Mohammad Tahir Shah, where members of the United Political Peace Forum participated. The meeting focused on the recent abduction of Imran Mukhlis, as well as the earlier kidnapping of pump operator Amjad Wazir, alongside the broader law and order situation in the district.

Officials informed participants that several individuals remain in captivity and assured that joint efforts by the administration and police are underway to ensure their safe recovery. Authorities requested time until the evening to make progress, which was granted by political leaders.

Leaders, however, warned that failure to recover Mukhlis within the given timeframe would prompt them to announce a future course of action. They stressed the need for immediate and effective measures to curb rising incidents of kidnapping for ransom and restore public confidence.

The jirga also highlighted growing insecurity across areas including Azam Warsak, Karikot, and Ghwakhwa, where incidents of bomb blasts, target killings, and abductions have significantly increased, creating fear among residents and disrupting daily life.
